How to Prepare White Rice, preparing white rice is a popular meal in Nigerian recipe. White rice is usually serve with different types of stew of your choice such as; Meatball Stew, Beef Stew, Chicken Stew, Banga Stew, Vegetable Sauce, Fred Pepper Sauce, and Egusi Soup. White rice and stew is very easy to cook and most people even cook it without no ingredients
INGREDIENTS :
* Long Grain White Rice.
* Salt (Optional).
DIRECTIONS :
1. Parboil the Rice, Using This Simple Parboiling Method.
* How To Parboil Rice, Using This Simple Parboiling Method As Following :
1. Wash the rice in cold water (optional) and place in a pot.
2. Add water to it, adding water depends on the quality of the rice, or you can make it about twice the
level of the rice.
3. Set fire to the gas cooker or the stove and leave to cook.
4. Note: when the water as boil to about 40°c then you can add your rice and to the boiling water and leave to Boil to 100°c plus 10 more minutes.
5. Pour it into a sieve to sieve out the water.
6. Place the sieve with the rice in a bowl of cold water of 0.0°c.
7. Then Rince the rice and pour into another bowl of cold water of 0.0°c

8. Keep it in the sieve to drain off all the water.
9. Now that the water have drain off, your rice is now ready to be fully cooked again.

Note: it not necessary to have or use parboiled Rice. If you don't have parboiled rice u can go on cooking your white rice like that without parboiling your rice. It even save your time.
2.a. If you have parboiled rice, now set your pot and place it on the cooker or or stove and pour your parboiled rice, and add water to it, add salt to it and cover it, now live to cook for like 15 minutes.
Note : make the water level to be the same with the rice level.
2.b. If you are not using parboil rice, after setting up your cooker or stove, place your pot and rince the rice and pour into the pot and add water to it and cover to continue cooking.
Note : make sure that your water level is above the rice level. You don't add salt to your rice at the beginning seen you are not going for the parboiling method.
3.a. For parboiled rice after 15 minutes check, the water should have almost dry check if it done, if it done, now pour into a sieve to drain out the remaining water to avoid stick together. Now for parboiling users, you can now serve with any kind of Stew or Sauce or Soup.
3.b. As for non parboiling users, after like 20 minutes add salt then add water if necessary and continue cooking, after like 10 to 15 minutes your rice should have been done, if it done, pour into a sieve to drain out the remaining water to avoid stick together. you can now serve with any kind of Stew or Sauce or Soup.
