If you have ever heard about people making money online, here is your chance to join the league of those who make money online.

FoodYarnS will pay you when you write and send in detailed recipes that are fit for publishing on the website. Now, you can make money from lots of recipes you share for free on social media.

- For your recipe to qualify for publishing:

1. It must be detailed. FoodYarnS website is visited by lots of people who are seeking for more knowledge about cooking so this website is known for its detailed recipes that anyone can follow. Use the Drinks Recipes or the Snacks Recipes as a guide when writing the recipe you will submit.

2. FoodYarnS does not accept all recipes. For one, recipes that are already on FoodYarnS are not acceptable. For instance, we already have the recipe of Bitterleaf Soup on the website so that one na bad market. If you want to submit a Nigerian snack recipe, visit the Snacks Recipes page on FoodYarnS and take a look at the recipes that are already there.

You can also look at the other categories: Beans Recipes, Drinks Recipes, Plantain Recipes, Rice Recipes, Snacks Recipes, Soups Recipes and Yam Recipes.

At the end of the day, once you indicate interest and we establish a writing relationship, you will be able to find out the recipes before you start writing. Because let’s face it, that a recipe is not on the website does not mean that I will pay you to write it for FoodYarnS. For instance, there’s no recipe for Fried Eggs on the website but I will not accept it as a submission or it may earn you small money just just to encourage you to write more. So it is important that you indicate below and we will start a conversation so you do not waste your time preparing a recipe that I will not even consider.

3. All recipes must be traditional or world known recipes. For instance, I do not want Egg Fried Rice rather I will consider Egusi Pepper Soup, Kunun Zaki, Ofo Soup etc... A little bit of background/history of the recipe will also prove that you know what you are talking about. If you submit the same recipe as another person at the same time, the background story of the recipe will help me make a decision on which recipe I will pick to publish.

4. All recipes must be well written which means no short forms of words, slangs etc. I can’t pay for a recipe that will require lots of editing.

5. The recipe must be your work. That means you cannot go and copy a recipe from the internet and send. I have software for finding out if the recipe is originally written by you or not.

6. The recipe you send shall be exclusive to FoodYarnS meaning that you have not published it on another platform and will not publish it on another platform.

7. The recipe must come with one main photo of the dish served in a plate and at least 4 photos of the steps. You can submit more photos of the steps if you wish. All photos must be clear and bright and taken in a landscape orientation (see examples below). All photos must be yours. Again, do not go and download a photo from the internet and send. You will be found out or reduce your choice of earn.

8. Submitting a video for the recipe is optional. if you can make and submit a video of the preparation of the meal, recorded by you, you will be able to negotiate a higher price for your work. When recording a video, hold your phone in landscape mode, see images below.

Place your camera like this (landscape mode) when taking photos or making a video you will submit with your recipe.

The following image shows portrait mode, photos taken or videos made by placing your phone or camera this way will NOT be accepted.

- How much money will you receive per recipe?

There is no fixed price for submitted and approved recipes. I understand that some recipes are easier to prepare and write about so those ones will fetch you less money than those that take more time and involve more work. Prepare the recipe using the above guidelines, pick a price you want to receive for it then submit your work for assessment.

Note: I will only pay you if I publish your work on FoodYarnS. Submission of a recipe does not guarantee that you will get paid.

When I receive your submission, I will take a look and see if it is something I want to publish on FoodYarnS. If it passes all hurdles which include making sure that it is your original work, it is detailed, comes with 5 quality photos and is well written, I will make you an offer of what I am willing to pay for it if I think your price is too high. My offer will usually be no more than the equivalent of 1 hour’s worth of work (international rate) as this is the length of time it takes to write a standard recipe and take photos of the meal.

I am doing this because every day, some of you send me recipes to publish on the website or on Facebook without asking for anything. But I want you to start earning money from those recipes if you are interested. You know yourselves so all you need to do with some of the recipes you already have is to go back and rewrite them, adding details and specifying quantities of ingredients. Take photos of the steps and the main dish and bam, you can make yourself some money from it. I also need help meeting up with the recipes requests I get so win-win for everybody concerned.
There is much more to this process that I may have missed in the information above so if you have any questions, ask me right here in the comments below.
If you are interested in earning some money writing for FoodYarnS, indicate in the comments and I will contact you with the email address you will enter in the email field... Thanks You So Much...
